Unitiserve and Chord Ethernet directionality

Posted by: Name on 22 June 2018

Hi I’m hoping a fellow forum member can help, with chord Ethernet cables they are marked such that that the arrow should point away from the source component to the switch. Now with the nds and the nas that’s easy as they are the source components and therefore the ethernet cable directionality arrows should point to the Cisco switch, I’m just not sure about the unitiserve? Is it regarded as a source component?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I use Chord Indigo streaming cable from server to router and in that instance the source is the disk, so the arrow points to the router.

Thanks gents phew finally some fellow chord users.

The cables are three sets of chord epics which have the arrows on the heatshrink.

My best guess was that pointing to the switch would be my starter for five.

NAS cable points to Switch,  Router points to Switch,   Switch points to NDS
