Help setting up UPNP Nac 272 to laptop

Hi I have been trying for last 2 hours to connect my laptop to my nac 272 in order to stream music.

I downloaded kodi and asset and have no idea how to connect so that music from laptop gets played on nac 272.

I am a newbie to this tech so please can someone help.

My sky router has upnp enabled.

How do i get both devices to sync?

I do not need a nas drive as have 2tb of space on my harddrive, windows 7 is installed.

You need both devices connected to the same network, via a router / switch. Your computer must run a UPnP software and be open to accept network traffic.
Once UPnP is up and running your N272 should see the 'server'

And you need to point Asset at the folder where your music is stored on your laptop, and let it scan that folder.

You don't need Asset, just use Windows Media player and ensure that network discovery of the computer is permitted.
