No Cover Art for aiff Files on the Core

Posted by: tmtsui on 02 July 2018

Hi,

I am a new user of Core.   I have quite some aiff files (over 20,000) and all of them have cover arts and can be shown properly in iTunes and Audirvana.

However, when they are put in the downloads folder on the Core, only a small portion of them displaying their covers properly on Naim app.   Worth note that most of these files can show their covers properly via the “book” icon.

Playing these files are of no problem.

Have tried refreshing the image cache, etc. on the app.  Even tried factory resetting the Core.  But so far not helping.

Checked the music files with covers properly showing but have no idea why their covers can be displayed and others’ can’t.

Wonder if anyone has encountered the issue ?   Any suggestion for fixing the issue is appreciated.

Thanks

Where does it say that? Not in the manual and if it‘s a feature then it is bad design, bad UX. Even the cheapest NAS can handle all sorts of files under ONE interface

I don’t think the cheapest or any other NAS can handle all sorts of files under one interface, to be fair.

On-line manual. Took me 20 seconds to find it.

Well again that's not user friendly. I buy my stuff at beatport.com. Nothing exotic, number one source für electronic music. Metas and Artwork is integrated and every software and player can handle that, without setting it up in a "special way". The only one who's exotic here is Naim and they should fix that asap, because like the User above I won't set up my Music in a "special way", becaucse I have around 40.000 tracks.
