Disco Antistat vinyl record cleaner

I've owned one of these for some time now.  On 1st purchase, I ran most of my LPs through it.  It is a bit messy and tedious but the near silence and improvement of pops and crackles was a revelation.  At the time, I didn't put any newly purchased albums through the process.

I was playing one of those recently and when I lifted the record off from the turntable, the felt mat was lifted from the turntable at the same time.  This illustrates the effectiveness of the record cleaner since the records which have been cleaned leave the felt mat on the platter.  The static electricity which lifted the mat must be really powerful to lift the mat from my Rega Planar P3.  I can therefore recommend the Disco Antistat as a truly effective product.

Yes agreed Shep I clean all my new records as a matter of course as I too have found most of them have a significant amount of static enough to lift the mat off the LP12. I also change the inner sleeve to a poly paper one.

Yep, works great for me too.  After cleaning I was wanting to unmute the NAC only to realise it was already unmuted
