What's your favourite through the app?

Other than Radio 'Paradise'...

And no 'classic (yaaaawn) rock', please.

Radio Paradise!

well, ok then, apart from RP there’s only a couple of others locked in as Favourites on my system:-

BBC6 Music, Jazz FM & Linn Jazz

i don’t ever feel the need to wander any further. Will be interested to hear any other tips that might come out in this thread.

Tend to use mine as a normal radio when working from home, so it varies between R Paradise and BBC Radios 2 to 6, plus Radio Leicester. Occasionally wander off to ambient or electronic stations but the faff of finding a good one at decent quality and the randomness of it still being there next time I want to listen to it makes it a bit too hit n miss.

For Jazz try Radio Swiss Jazz and for classical try Radio Swiss Classical and Venice classical. All 128mps and all are free of ads.

I think there’s another thread on this, for me it’s generally RP (flac mostly), Radio Swiss Jazz, 1.FM (Swiss ambient 320k & sounds great), Lyric Fm (Irish classical& eclectic), Pure Jazz (NYC), Classic FM, Linn Jazz

My presets are BBC R2, R3 & R6,  RP, Naim Radio, LInn Jazz & Jazz FM.      Problem for you Mike is with BBC from outside UK you don't get the HLS (48kHz/339kb/s) service so the excellent live concerts on R3 are not fully appreciated.

Outside that I surf,  & to me this is what webradio is all about.   I have connections with SA so always get the daily & evening business news & listen out for any of my favourite bands that might have a gig broadcast.   I love reggae so take regular trips around the Caribbean to hear what going on, problem is all the stations have low bit rates.   The family in Oz tip us off about concerts & gigs,    & finally after many years working for & at an international cmpy with its HQ in Ireland,  I take a regular surfing tour around the RTE's & the others.
