www comparison site 'Cable' has published the Mean Download Speed ranking for the planet in 2018. I've shown the top 10 & selected out a few of the next 40 for those interested, the full list is 200. Certainly, in the USA, location and competition determine price and generally, therefore, utilization. For example, I pay $59.95/month for 200/20mbps at my main home where Time Warner Cable and Google Fibre are in direct competition. At my vacation home where the only provider is Shentel, I pay $59.95/month for 10/2mbps. I could pay Shentel $200/month for 100/10mbps but I choose not to.
Isn't this a great country!
