DSD format not recognized

Posted by: CSI_Basel on 24 July 2018

I have ripped 3 SACD discs and they are located on my Synology Nas in DSD format. I have a Unitiserve as well and I use the Naim app to stream music from both the US and Nas.

If I go into the US upnp then the 3 albums are not there, but if I use Minimserver then I can see the 3 albums on the Nas and can play them on my SU.

Why does the US not see the DSD discs but Minimserver can see them.

Its very annoying to have 2 servers on the Naim app. Is there anything i can change on the Desktop Client that will allow the US to see the 3 albums?

If I recall correctly US platform does not offer DSD support.

Correct (once again Adam) UnitiServe only supports WAV, AIFF, FLAC, ALAC, OGG Vorbis, AAC, Windows Media & MP3.     Maybe think about selling the US & go to NAS only,  its a lot simpler once all the CD collection rips are done & you move to downloads & the once in a while CD rip using the PC/Laptop.
