Product servicing, Naim and 'authorised companies'

Am I still able to send older Naim equipment for servicing to Naim directly?

From time to time you see companies who describe themselves as 'authorised' to repair/service equipment - is there an official list, or is it a no go area of discussion?

Also, there used to be a factory summer holiday I believe when servicing etc could take longer, is this still the case?

If you're considering this approach, call Darran in advance and arrange a mutually convenient time so that you can be sure that Darran can actually turn them around on the day!

That’s cunning plan, but not all cunning plans turn out as expected. I arranged to have my xps serviced by Darren, drop it off in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon. Unfortunatley, when I arrived I was told Naim had sent the wrong capacitors and I’d have to pick it up a few days later. So, a hundred mile round trip turned into two hundred mile round trip. But, these things happen and his excellent service was still value for money.

i guess I should be thinking of getting my gear serviced this year.

The NAP 300 & PSU are 2005 units, as is the NAC 252. The Supercap 2 is a 2002 build.

My NAP 200 is also 2005 & the NAPV145 is probably around the same age though theee are used for the AV side of things & can be done next year. I can’t imagine Class A been able to turn around everything in one day!
