Hello everyone,

I'm not new to Naim but I am to this Forum so just a quick "hello" to introduce myself.

Cheers,

Welcome Jonners. Have you thought about upgrading to a 552?

Not until you mentioned it! ????

Welcome Jonners I’m just down the road from you in Buckingham.   I had the same system as you, great music.

Regards,

Lindsay

Thanks Lindsay, what did you change and was it worthwhile?

Welcome along Jon. There’s a wealth of expertise on the forum and lots of helpful support from the bods on here, especially so if you decide to experiment and plunge headlong into streaming.

Hello, Jon I'll also add my voice to the cacophony of welcome - have fun and remember don't take anything you read here too seriously

My current configuration is in my profile, quite early on I changed from the 202 to the 282 and then progressively changed to what I have now.  I think it's a very well balanced system now.  Like you I used to have Dyna Contours (1.8) but i used to find the bass difficult to manage in my listening area - the Kudos S20s just integrate so well.

Since I had the Muso Qb I've found O'm not really using the CDS3 -  so easy to call up tracks on the Qb - so I'm waiting to audition a NDX 2!

Regards,

Lindsay

Interesting what you say about the Dyns, now I've moved I have less space which means they're closer to the corner and side wall in my lounge and that has intensified bass response somewhat. Stuffing the rear ports makes them go too far the other way so I think a speaker change/upgrade will also be on the cards soon. When I auditioned these back in the day, it was a near thing between the 1.3's and Wilson Benesch Axis which looked great and sounded more balanced and controlled (to my ears at least), but were nearly double the price. I've seen them on eBay going (relatively) cheap so I may take the plunge, or see what's entered the market in the last 12 years. Now you've shared your hi-fi set-up Lindsay, I take it you've a guitar one too - what's your current rig?

Aha no - only an acoustic.  And it's best if I leave that in its case.

Ha ha Lindsay, that's what my wife says about my axes - I like to take it out on occasion, turn the amp up to 11 and set off all the car alarms!

Wilson Benesch Axis

I've heard Wilson Benesch Arcs sound good on the end of CDX2, 202, 200 at my dealers so well worth a look on auction sites for them too,  imo.

Welcome Jon.
