Anybody using the nap 300dr and is it capable of driving the pmc fact 12 I have demo the fact 12 at home with the 250dr but not great especially on the low end it did sound better in show room don't get me wrong the 250 Dr was doing OK in mids but low seem to be loose muddy.

I own a 300DR, lovely AMP, don't know the speakers you are looking at, but I am prety sure the 300DR can drive most speakers
soundstage on the 300 has a real warmth and depth with suberb focus and seperation, I was planning to go 250DR but was offered a 300 which I then got DR fitted
as ever the only real true test is to demo,
I have B&W 805N which like a lot of control and power to drive them, so they really like the 300DR
A friend of mine (not a forum member) has a NAP 300DR driving Fact 12s. He upgraded from a 250DR and told me it was a "worthwhile improvement." He is happy with the combination.
best

I am looking at fact 12 I just cannot get the 300 to demo with, I have tried the 250dr in my own house with fact but not good enough power wise.
I can’t comment on the speakers in question but I ran a 250dr for over twelve months in my system changing to a 300dr early last year the 300dr has so much more drive and grip it takes everything to a different level a superb amplifier indeed.
Well worth a home demonstration.
I have a 300dr, get ready to add subs.
I have a 300DR with pmc Fact 12s and it’s fabulous. I had a 552/200 combination driving the Fact 12s during my upgrade path. The 200 sounded ok - the bass was not well controlled, the highs were lacking detail, and the sound stage was vague.
The 300DR fixed all that and brought next-level clarity to the whole sound of the system. It’s a great amplifier and it has the grip and power to work magic with the Fact 12s. My next upgrade is to SL cabling; a previous home demo showed even better sound from the Fact 12s.
As always, audition if you can to make sue you’ll get the expected results at home. I believe it’s a great combination.
I run a 300dr with the pmc mb2s with absolutely no problem, fact 12's should be a breeze
ps you should not need subs with the bigger pmc speakers being transmission lines

Thanks for reply my dealer will be getting a demo 300dr for home trial so I can try fact 12 with this amp .

Nobody “needs” subs.

A couple of points for your home demo. First, the 300dr needs some break-in period before it is at its best. Mine was about 8-10 days before it settled down. Second, experiment with the Fact 12 placement. The switch to the 300dr will alter the Fact 12 sound; you will need to adjust placement to optimize the sound stage and balance (treble vs. bass).
Please let us know how it goes; they are really great speakers. Enjoy!

Yes I will but I would say the bass will be set to minus and Hf set to 0 about 6. feet apart
Your punctuation is contemporary to say the least misplaced and lacking also come to my mind but youve got responses so maybe effective is the key word not heard the 300 fact 12 250 dr in show room but 6. feet apart seems too much unless Hf set to -1 will tighten bass . Power wise good just break in
There is more to an audio system than an amp and speakers. Let us know the rest of your system please. Source may well add the bass you are looking for.

Cdx2, supercap Dr, xps, nac 282, nap 250dr.
Three things you can try here
Find speakers that do sound great in your system if Fact 12s don’t have you tried kudos 707
Try a 300 with the Facts
Try a 555ps instead of the XPS
You already have the supercap
When I had demos of similar equipment with muddy sounding speakers it was the supercap that cleaned them up but the 555ps was already in place from earlier in the dem and wasn’t going anywhere
Both the Fact 12 and the Kudos 707 seem over ambitious given the CDX2 and 282, whether the system includes a 250 or 300. Both are more at home with 500 series electronics.
I can’t speak for PMCs as I have minimal knowledge but Kudos are not in practice a hard drive. I heard the previous Titan 88s driven with a 200 and it was fine. The 250DR will happily live with the 707s.

Lindsay
I’ve heard fact12s driven very nicely at my dealer on more than a few occaisions but each time fronted with an NDS/555 and a 552 pre

cdx2 is a brilliant … player and sound best with xps dr and will sound fab with any speaker. the fact 12 just need current to sound good which the 300dr has spades of over the 250dr, The nac 282 is warmer sounding than the 252 they are both great preamp.
If you say so.
