Modern Kans pt. II wow!

Some time ago I wrote about testing the Neat Iota Alpha at home, then Neat Iota Xplorers. Having owned Naim Ovators I was very intrigued by the Iota design and sound, sold my Ovators and had a great system consisting of Neat Xplorers, Nap 250.2, hicap nac 102, ndac sotm sms 200, lp12-kore-aro-Armageddon-adikt-Lejonklou gaio. A great system, with only weak spot in the 102. I then bought a old Nac 82 and everything seems fine. But within some days I noticed a scratching noise from the left speaker: ( There was a fault with the nac 82. Dread... I had excellent service from Neat and my dealer but had to wait for a new woofer. Waiting I lent a pair of Iota alphas again. The first time I had them I had a bit of trouble taking them seriously, due to their size. Now I was not that intimidated by their size and found that they did serious music. Perhaps a bit funner and bouncier than their big brother. Not the same slam and details but very natural, loads of prat and great bass.
The problem now was my wife devolopped a serious crush in them. As you can se from the picture they go under our windows. With the toughest discussion about HiFi ever she came out victorious. I got to buy a new well functioning Nac 82 as well. But had to sell the Xplorers. When we move to a bigger house I will definitely buy them.
So today I got a newly serviced pots 8 Nac 82. Wow, this is a boogie-system! Put on Hunky Dory, and Bowie sounds so funky and emotional! So much in the record I have not heard before presented so musical and tight. The Nac 82 is really a fantastic music-machine! The Iota Alphas get quite good companions in this system, but I really think they grow in this context. I wonder if it is far of a old Kan-system?
