Interconnection challenge

Dear forum,
I'm currently a happy owner of a nac 272/nap 200 combo with 2x5m nac a5 cables. However I've invested in a new speaker system divided into separate top and base modules. The tops are driven by a separate power amp and the base modules by another power amp including a freq filter with a crossover at 80 Hz. I plan to drive the top modules with the nap 200 and use a no-naim power amp for the base modules. The integrated filter on the no naim power amp uses rca connectors only for in/out signals. My question is simply how to connect the set up (nac to the filter/no naim power amp and the nac 200)? I see two ways of doing this:
- Use the “line out” rca from the nac and connect it to the rca in on the filter. Connect filtered signal “rca out” from the filter to the “analogue in” on the nac and keep the snaic between the nac and the nap.
2. Use the “pre amp” rca out from the nac and connect it to the “rca in” on the filter and then connect the filtered signal “rca out” from the filter to the nac by means of an rca/snaic cable. I’d assume that it is not recommended to connect an rca cable into the nap?
Are any of the two options above recommended? If not how should it be done? Grateful if you could share some of your expertise. Thanks in advance!
