Melco with bigger HDD’s

An audio friend of mine has just exchanged the standard 3TB discs of the Melco with two 5tb discs. Looks like very attractive, but I am bit cautious as I am not sure if you would loose something in sound quality or if there are any long term negative effects.

Right now I am running my Melco with a separate external disk, but I have the mess of constantly determining what I move additionally to the external disk as my Melco is running again against the 95%. So my question is are there any forum members with experiences ?

Hi Bert - worth dropping Alan an email and asking his opinion. Might also be worth holding off doing this mod for a couple of months as there is something interesting in the pipeline.
