adding amp to Atom

Posted by: longmanjon on 16 August 2018

When adding an external amp like a NAP200 to a uniti Atom, is there anything in the settings which needs to be disabled. If I remember right on the UQ you used to have to disable to internal amp section I think?

I’m pretty sure the Atom will detect the connection of an external amp automatically, unlike its predecessor. In the days of good old fashioned manuals, you cauld have looked up the answer, but with the Atom you don’t have this option.

Certainly on my Nova, just plug in the other amp in the Din socket and it’s done. I think the atom is rca sockets only but still should not need a change of settings.

Many thanks for the answers, I did wonder if it is automatic. Hopefully it switches of the power section to save power and heat.

yes the manuals now seem a bit lighter
