Dear Naim family.
I have a vintage CD Player Philips CD960 which i like lots - going onto Naim SN2
I have used RCA - RCA - Kimber Hero WBT 0110 Cu
I like the sound
I came across this idea of RCA to DIN ( from CDP to SN2 )
BIS Audio Canada
A good one costs approx USD 350 for 1 meter
Given that i have already a Kimber Hero RCA with WBT connections on both sides - will this be worth the additional USD 350 or maybe there is a better way to spend the money or cheaper way to do this.
Ideally i would like the RCA WBT on 1 side and 5 pin DIN on the other with Kimber Hero cable or similar.
USD 350 is a lot of money for me but i can spend if the incremental joy of music is delivered.
The precursor to this question is that in the past i had a Naim CD5XS and naim Nait 5i-2 ( DIN-DIN ) and i was really happy.
I do not want to go back to why i changed the CD5XS - i have answered that in other posts.
Best regards
mpw

Why not simply hand over the cable you already have to someone who can change RCA to DIN on one end ?
You will then have a RCA-DIN cable you know and like, to use with the Philips or any other non-Naim source.
Should you ever want to go back to RCA-RCA with this cable, it will probably be quite easy to change back to RCA.

Thats a good idea.. thank you..
I know things are system dependent and room dependent..
But generally speaking - have Naim forum members found this worth the while ?
I ask this specifically as my KImber Hero interconnects have already a good WBT binding connectors..
so would a change to 1 side DIN be as noticeable as compared to :-
retaining the interconnect with both sides WBT as it is
OR
with both sides DIN-DIN ( this is not possible for me )

is the 5 pin SNAIC that i see on eby the same as the one required for SN2 CD input connection ?
SNAIC 5 PIN DIN TO 5 PIN DIN TWIST LOCK INTERCONNECT CABLE FOR NAIM PRE-AMP
I am thinking of buying that cable and using the DIN 5 pin Male plug
please advise me

I currently use a Chord Chrysalis RCA to DIN which suffices for my needs. They come up for sale time to time on the auction site. Another option is the Chord Crimson RCA to DIN, also a nice cable. Chord Shawline could be another option but I haven’t used them. All cheaper than the Bis Audio.
