Sad news that Ed King, guitarist in Lynyrd Skynyrd, and co-writer of "Sweet Home Alabama" has died at home in Nashville.

Damn, another fine musician gone. King, Rossington and Collins made a wonderful triple guitar lineup, Ed Kings’s Strat was a lovely foil to the Gibsons of the other 2.

Thinking about it, he played lead on Sweet Home Alabama and bass on Freebird, that’s damn impressive.
