NDX2 now on demo

My dealer has posted that the NDX2 is on demo from tomorrow....happy days
Would welcome thoughts. I was advised that the NDX was broadly pitched at CDX2 level but at several demos I attended only the NDS plus power supply engaged my hands and feet to a tapping and even then not especially impressively so.
I'm looking forward to a comparison with the ND555...

I think it is a bit apples and oranges to be honest. I mean, the NDX probably is at CDX2 level. But it has a totally different presentation. I'm not sure a head to head makes sense. You might prefer one presentation over the other but comparing them on quality is a bit like asking "Is Chinese Cuisine better or worse quality than French Cuisine?"
I'm most interested in thoughts comparing the NDX2 with the ND5xs; ND555 is out of my league.
VFM and SQ wise I'm looking to replace my DAC V1.

if you manage to compare NDX with NDX2 (purely on sound quality) I would -for one- be grateful.. maybe others too :-)

I can certainly try from memory as the last time I was there was to sort between 282 and 252 into nap300 driving PMC25.26....NDX was the source. Though the dealer after a few tracks put on a power supply as it did not sound in control enough without, in that set up. So my starting point will be NDX2 without power supply with 252/nap300/pmc25.26.

Any news about SQ of NDX2?

A real corker from all I've heard, but it does depend on your own personal standard of SQ.
On the ND555 thread the feedback from the Cymbiosis demo was straight out of the box the NDX2 with no power supply compared favourably with a NDS/ 555ps. Certainly not noted as being terrible by comparison, a power supply would be a big boost.
thanks!
when I was at [@mention:1566878603906177] demo as Gazza says the NDX was almost straight out of the box
it started to warm up through the demo in our group which was a noticable improvement, certainly it's a very good streamer, speaking to the boys [@mention:1566878603906177] they did not want to add a PSU just to keep the £££ within budget
NDX2 started to show it's colours, broad sound stage, focus - we were playing UpNP from Asset mainly 16/44 through 252/SCDR/300DR -
I am back there next weekend so will try and seek another listen and feedback, but for me the ND 555 is superb but not night and day over NDS, would imagine from what I have heard similar on NDX2, - I have owned an NDX since 2014 so i know what my NDX is capable of in my system
all these improvements will be small, why panic to change . read the review of ndx 2 .wishy washy review

Yes, we would have liked a lot earlier than the 22 hours we managed to get on it and yes it was sounding better and better by the hour during the open day.
We had been on to the factory and FedEx several times on the Wednesday (the day before) asking where the heck was it - Or words similar to that!!!
Anyway, it arrived finally at 5:20pm and we immediately un-boxed and installed it into the system and just ran it right up until Mark and Jon took over to run the event.
In a way we were lucky... 1) we got one for the event thank you Naim and also being the summer we didn't have to worry about condensation problems which would have slowed things down if it had been a cold winters day! As it was, the weather was fantastic, not too hot and not too cold and everyone attending enjoyed themselves at this preview event.
The serious demonstrations with clients own music and system requests will now follow.
Kind regards,
Peter
