Uniti Core does see any Network Drives

Help !!

I've just put a new SSD drive into my Uniti Core and defined that as a music store and ripped a CD to it. All good.

However, when I try to define some of my NAS drives as music stores on the Uniti Core via the Naim app / UnitiCore / Settings / Manage Music / Configure Music Stores / View Network Drives it reports, "No drives found".

Similarly when scanning for music shares I get the message, "No drives found".

I have followed David Hendon's advice and reset the Uniti Core to factory settings, but still now view of any network drives.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there a problem?

OK Folks, here is what I did.

Ensured that the SMB process was running on all NAS drives ( legacy windows support enabled on Netgear NASs) and then shutdown the ROUTER and the WINDOWS 10 PC that was on the home network.

Ah-ha,  as I thought,  but for the (my) record,  please confirm what the SMB service was doing before you finally fixed it

OK - on the Synology NAS drives: Control Panel > File Services > SMB/AFS/NFS > ensured all were enabled ( the only one that wasn't enabled was NFS )

on the Netgear NAS: Settings > SMB > SMB Settings > enabled workgroup discovery ( this was not enabled)

That's it.

I've now imported the music from the MQ folder on the Netgear NAS ( which was a backup of the MQ folder on the UnitiServe) to the core, de-selected all music stores to scan ( to get rid of the duplicated tracks in the app view of the Uniti Core) and now have a Uniti Core serving all of my previously ripped CDs ( ripped to the UnitiServe) with all of the artowrk and user edits.

Thanks for all your help and advice folks - very much appreciated!

Well done Sir, there’s a lot to be said for a one stop shop audio solution.

With your issue,  the only one that needs to be enabled is SMB.   AFP (Apple Filing Protocol) is specific to Apple.  NFS is a service that allows others access to your NAS.
