How do I connect a naim nait xs to a flatcap xs power supply

Hello,

I connected my flatcap xs to a naim nait xs amplifier with the 240 degree snaic power cable as shown in the manual with the amplifier but when i play my naim CD5XS cd player im not getting any sound. Do I also have to use a 180 degree  din cable to go from the flatcap to the nait xs  amplifier as shown here                                                                               https://www.manualslib.com/man...rnait-2.html?page=15

thanks

Yes, you need to send signal back into the power amp section of the NAIT xs.  It requires both a SNAIC5 as well as a SNAIC4 (no 180 degree DIN cable required except as interconnect for your CD5xs).

Hi thanks Richard  I I have connected the flatcap to the cd player as i have only got one snaic at the moment. i want to say my verdict on it. I have a cd by madonna called true blue. Its a notorious cd for not sounding very good unless you get the japanese version. I played it on my naim nait xs and cd5xs and i thought it sounded a bit rough and the bass was way over bloated. It was to my ears not very easy to enjoy the cd. I then connected the flatcap . It was a complete relevation. The cd was much more enjoyable, The sound of her voice was much more involving and what can i say about the bass. It was no longer loose but  very tight and fast no overlang. Every track is superb. To think i was going to get rid of this cd because i did not like the sound of it. All my other cds which sounded great even sound better. I put the cd player on at 9 pm and im still listening and discovering new sounds at 1.30am. I cant bring myself to switch it off so good it is.

Please don't.

(I'm looking forward to your report when you get another Snaic 5 and a Snaic 4, so that you can power the XS2's preamp section from the FCXS too).
