Black burndy vs Grey burndy

I am curious if the black burndy connecting my Nac 52 to the supercap is an improvement over the gray burndy?

Thanks.

When they first came out, I replaced three of the gray Burndies with the black versions-one each on the CDS1, Snaxo and 52. The degree of improvements were in that order, with the CDS1 being a 'gotta have' level of improvement. The 52 was less obvious, and not quite to the same degree as the gray vs black Snaics-which were another no-brainer.

I'd say Ron is pretty much on the money here - Black SNAICs and CDS Burndy (particularly the latest S-CDPS Black Burndy) are essentials. For all that, I've never compared a grey 52 Burndy against the Black one.  When I got my NAC52 the black Burndy had already arrived.

Dear Richard,

Is there a part number for that new S CDPS Burndy ?

I had heard it mentioned on the forum before so enquired a few years ago about updating my existing black burndy that originally came with my CDS ( last unit ever made apparently ! )

I was told no,  as long as the burndy I was using was black then it was the latest/best one to use with my CDS.?

Kind regards

Ed.

Ed the current black Burndy for the CDPS is the S-CDPS.

as for the difference, I only heard the S-CDPS type on a friends system with their CDS. I was more interested in the S-XPS for my CDS3. Plenty of comments on the forum from various members of you search.
