vTuner Help

Posted by: garyi on 25 September 2018

I am trying to add some stations. The naim app does not offer search. So I was trying to use the vTuner pages.

It asks me to login in order to add stations, but I dont have a login and it offers no facility for signing up, the help page for login hilariously states I should use my registered email to login. Wow super help.

Can someone tell me how I get a vTuner account so I can add radio stations to iradio?

Have you tried logging in with the MAC address of you streamer?

Go to  http://myradio.naimaudio.com/s...AuthLogin/SignIn.asp. and enter the Mac address of your Naim streamer.

That does not work, or at least it does but when you try to add a station it then presents the login page which does not offer the mac code as an alternative.

Incidentally trying to launch the naim vTuner page crashes safari. Also trying to search a station in the vTuner page results in a 404 error.

It’s been a long time since I tried to access vTuner, but when I did, my attempts were similarly fruitless.

What a shame. I assume its therefore no longer possible to add your own stations, or even search for stations.

Has it ever worked? It was probably 3 or 4 years ago when I tried. I never made another attempt as I’ve yet to find a station that wasn’t already listed. Shame there isn’t a usable search function so that existing stations can be found without randomly trawling through the iRadio menu.

It all seemed easy enough for me, and still works when I log in. Connect using your MAC address, then create an account to log in with on subsequent occasions.

Perhaps it doesn’t like Safari - have you tried another browser ? (I use a PC so have a multitude to chose from - not sure what the situation is for Mac users, but I’m fairly sure there’s Firefox - which works with Vtuner in Windows)

I’m using MacBook Pro Retina 13’’ early 2015, OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and Opera browser v. 55.0.

When searching stations in vTuner by name from the data base I got 500 - Internal server error. When selecting station straight from the list I was able to add it to My Favourite Groups. It asks first to make a group if there is none made before. But there is no much use for those Groups as there is no way to transfer them to streamer.

On the other hand I was able to add one station URL, station name, genre, stream, etc to My Added Stations and now it is playing in my N172XS.

The search seems to work by using safari (iOS) i.e. it does not seem to be browser dependent function. I did not try to add any stations now but it has been working in the past too (I did try to access to the add a new station page and that at least worked also now).

I used the e-mail login option – the account was created by using the MAC address for the initial login a few years back.

I dont get an offer to sign up, there is a little box to add your mac address, I do so then it proceeds tot he radio stations section, it never asks me to sign up any where, only to login.

Can someone provide me a link please perhaps I am going to some long forgotten server or something.

This is the address I use:

http://myradio.naimaudio.com/s...AuthLogin/SignIn.asp

When you login with the MAC address do you see the option My Preferences in the top right corner of the screen? I believe that the account information is maintained there.
