Naim Allae – Naim Atom is it Possible ????

I use an Atom with N-Sats, which are rated at 87dB and 6 ohm, so I would guess the Allae would be fine. (According to my manual they are 88dB, not 89!) Of course, N-Sats do not do deep bass, unless I also hook up the N-Sub, but the Atom seems to drive them nicely. Maybe a 250 would drive them better, but where do you stop!?

I ran SL2 with a UQ2 for a year in a small room and it was bloody marvelous ????

???? ChrisSU,...I have a friend who has N-Sats that he should sell,so if it does not work with Allae,so maybe...

I know where I stop,..this is to my son,has bought Naim Atom,Naim Allae,Naim Naca5 soldered by Karl in Stockholm,Cisco 2960 Switch,Audioquest Vodka ehternet cables,Dedicated mains to Atom.

If he wants to move on from there,so he can do it himself ????.
But I have to make sure that the speakers work together with his Atom,..Therefore this thread.

It sounds hopeful,then maybe it works with Allae.
Saw in your profile,that you are running Linn Kaber to your UQ2 now,they are more heavy driven.
Does it work well.?

Yes Peder, the UQ2 drives the Kabers really nicely. In fact i borrowed a latest Linn Klimax Twin power amp from a dealer friend and ran the Qute into that, driving the Kabers. It was no problem goimg back to the Qute, and in some ways better musically.

Heard an Atom driving S400s in the weekend. Surprisingly good. He'll be fine.

Apologies for the pedantic comment! Only a small difference, but if just a 3dB difference requires, it is said, double the power, then perhaps speakers with a 2dB difference would still be noticeably different in their power demands. Anyway, as the Allae is rated more sensitive than the N-Sat, hopefully it will work fine.

???? ChrisSU,...You don't have to apologize,I like it when you are "Attention To Detail".

Details are important in this interest,it can make a big difference in the end.

I run my Allaes with my Nova and have great results, the Atom will be a great match.
