Chord Sarum T and Chord Music

Posted by: Franz K on 09 October 2018

I have currently some chord sarum T and chord music cables on trial.  Its truly amazing who much more music is in the signal that becomes apparent with both of these chord cables. The first interconnect now replaced with a chord cable is between the SCDR for SL and the Preamp ie a 4/5 pin snaic, while the other one is a 4/4 pin snaic between the psu of the preamp and the SCDR for the snaxo.

The problem with Naim boxes you just cannot sneak a few in the house.......those Chord guys might have an idea with those small boxes????

You can certainly sneek a few cables in ..

I know it’s the weak link......need a little time to bed everything in.

Gazza - you might want to give the True Signals Audio cables a listen too if you're considering Chord. Signals stock them.

Agreed Franz. The fact that cables can make such a difference to SQ is both wonderful and intriguing at the same time. I have gone the SL route (full loom) and just get so much more musical enjoyment from their presence.

It would appear that average cables can be guilty of filtering out a good deal of information. It also appears that you need to have decent quality electronics and spend a fair amount on cables to acquire the transparency to rescue this information.

I do think that posh cables are somewhat over-priced but then, considering what they deliver, offer decent VFM IMO.

I don’t hear the average cables filtering out musical Information.... that’s just not the case to my ears.

You can only hear what average cables have filtered out when you replace them with more transparent cables. Going from all- stock Naim cables to a SL full loom made significant difference to these ears.

Bit like cleaning your glasses or washing your windscreen.
