Is the Snaic5 black shielded compared to the old grey?

Is the construction of the grey and black cables different in any way?

While the Black Burndy vs the Grey ones were discernibly better, , they were less so then then the gray to the black Snaics, at maybe 1/5 or 1/10 the outlay. In other words....do not replace your grey Burndies until you have replaced your grey Snaics. Black Snaics give a more dynamic, crisper, more tuneful and less background noise then the grey counterparts. The black Burndies give a rounder and marginally less brittle presentation then their grey counterparts, but does not offer the same game changing upgrade. With the exception of the Blacki CDS1 Burndy (which is a mammoth upgrade over the grey one), do the black Snaics before swapping grey Burndies for Black ones.

Make sure the SNAIC is the real thing. See the FAQ for ID info.
