Has anyone ripped The girl from Chicksaw County?

As I'm ripping on dBPoweramp, accurate rip has gone from 2 to 1 and now for the last disc, no accurate rip information and no metadata.

I would have expected this data to be in the ether by now. It seems unusual that people would just have ripped some but not all CDs?

Have you tried a different ripper accessing a different database? I generally find iTunes to be the best for finding online data on the rare occasions when others fail.

I’m more musing about how 7/8 of the set seems to have been ripped by people using dBPoweramp and the likelihood that as more downloads are bought we may be soon be manually inputting data.

I only use dBPoweramp as iTunes may well have the data but doesn’t error check (to the best of my knowledge- haven’t used it in years).  Once there is accurate rip data usually one scan gives verified data. With no accurate rip there are usually 3-6 rips which is slooooow (but accurate).

As it turns out, Roon populates the data once  album name details are there. Still my raw metadata says track 1 etc.

I’m not convinced that iTunes rips are necessarily worse, but yes, I see it as a last resort. Maybe better to add metadata manually to the dbpa rip.

its seems as these box sets ,some that are good value  that meta is alittle of an hiccup.  I use db asset most of the time if it fails my backup is Jrivers which seems better

I ripped it a few weeks ago, and I have a hazy recollection of a similar single AccurateRip result for the “Live At The BBC” disc. IIRC dBPowerAmp only sends AccurateRip data every 30 days, so perhaps somebody’s rip of the final disc fell outside their reporting window.

I also recall all eight discs taking a bit longer than I’d expect to rip, even allowing for how long they are.

Was there metadata for the BBC disc?

Perhaps there is some setting I’ve wrong but I did look at all the metadata providers and had them ticked.

No. I typed it into dBPowerAmp myself.

No, but I took her out on a couple of dates.  Fantastic dancer.
