Looking to get into Naim, suggestions would be lovely

After hearing the Naim Mu-So QB - I can't let go of how great it sound, and what a treat is was to look at and touch.

So I've decided that I'd start working towards  a multiroom setup with Naim, instead of my current Audio Pro's. However I have a few questions that I hope some of you more veteran Naim..heads... can help me with?

I want to keep my Triangle Quartet for now, as I currently can't justify a speaker upgrade too. They are spec'ed as having a sensitivity of 91db - would the Naim Uniti Atom be sufficient for these as is? Or would a power amp be a must have from the get-go? It's not the most neutral speaker, and i'm not sure if the Uniti Atom is more on the neutral or colorful side of things?

Additionally I hope to use my Tidal HiFi together with the Uniti Atom - anyone using this combination, that can tell me how well this works?

I would love to listen before I splash on the Uniti Atom, but I have no reseller anywhere close, so will need to rely on buying it online, and then return it quickly if I somehow does not fall in love with it.

I would have loved to have my first post here, not be such a needy one - hopefully soon they will be a lot more about how much my life has gotten better with Naim in my life

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

welcome.  I’m afraid I know nothing of the Atom or your Triangles but I’m sure someone will be along soon to help you.

Best regards,

Lindsay

Hi, welcome to the forum! I’m not familiar with your speakers, but they are sensitive, and I expect the Atom would be able to drive them. If you are buying online, hopefully you will be able to listen, and return the Atom if you are not happy with it.

If you want to run a Naim multiroom system, I would suggest that you set up a decent home network, preferably using Ethernet cables rather than relying on WiFi, which can be less reliable.

Using Tidal is easy. You will get a free trial period when you buy an Atom. Sign up online, enter your login details on the Naim app, and you can control it from there.

I assume these are the Quartets:

The review concludes they should be easy to drive, the Atom should be fine, though what are you driving them with now?

Yes [@mention:71539985729025468] those are the ones - oddly enough I don't see the link you posted here in the forum, but it showed just fine in the mail notification i got.

I've currently using a Quad Vena  which is fine, but I can't let go of the idea of having a Uniti Atom as the heart of a multi room setup. The Quad is 45w at 8 ohm, so I guess - on paper - the power output is comparable with the Atom. I'm in no way an expert, not the slightest - but I guess numbers aren't all when talking performance?

@chrissu - thanks for the input, appreciate it!
