HCDR Socket 1 output

I understand that a HICAP cannot be used to power more than one device at a time, but what about the audio outputs? Can they be tapped into to provide channel 1&2 output say ... to a sub?

Yes they can.

Sweet, thanks. Now to find a cable.

Just be careful about the cable used and its length.  The Hicap output was designed to drive just one SNAIC or a pair of the DIN-XLR leads.  As such it can struggle to drive a long cable without some sort resistor slug (Naim's own sub lead used a 100R resistor), and only a low capacitance cable should be used.

If in doubt look for the Naim Sub lead (DIN4 - 2 x RCA phono) which came in 5m or 10m length.

Thanks much Richard.
