Connecting 252 to DAC V-1 ( as a headphone amp)

Hi I have an NDX2 and a Michell Gyro Dec going into a 252. I would like to use a DAC v-1 on the system just as a headphone amp. What's the best way to connect please and what cable do I need.

Terry - The DAC V1 doesn't have an analogue input so using it as a headphone amp would only allow it to play music sourced from the NDX2. Connect it to the digital output from the NDX2 to do this. A dedicated headphone amp would be better if you want to listen to other sources via the 252.

Thanks for the prompt response. I have it connected to the NDX2 at present but was assuming i must be missing a trick - but it seems not :-(

Yes, I think you’d be better off with a regular analogue headphone amp running off the 252.

The thing i like about the DAC V-1 is it has a remote control - havent seen many headphone amps with one

Terry, I use a DAC V1 because of the remote option it is connected the digital out of my ND555 originally used with a NDX the only difference is that you have switch over to the digital output on the ND555 and as I only have one source this suits my setup.
