Any thoughts / experience about Arcam rplayer for streaming Spotify connect into
FLAT CAP
NAD 150X
NAC 122X
Any need for an external dac?
I’m just coming to streaming and trying to get handle on all the options so trying not to get too lost .

thank you

If you want to dip your toe in the water I think the Arcam will be fine. I’d also suggest looking at the Yamaha WXC-50, which has a similar range of features, and which I’ve found works very well. Sonos Connect is another option. With any of these, you can add a separate DAC later to improve sound quality. Alteratively, upgrade to a better streamer later on.

Spotify lossy won’t give you the best sound quality either, so if the streaming bug bites, you can try Qobuz or Tidal lossless later. Not sure about the others, but the Yamaha supports these natively.

Oddly, I found that Spotify (premium) sounds good only via desktop. With my streamer SQ is awful.

It's a very good DAC too. Nice bit of kit, I had one to provide me with an introduction to streaming.
