UnitiServe SSD Playback Skipping While Ripping

UnitiServe SSD playback skips while ripping, and continues to skip until all encoding is done. Is this normal/expected behavior?

It happened to mine for a while but for the life of me I can't remember the solution - not helpful I know.....point being it shouldn't happen. Have a chat with your dealer / naim

I've had the same with my HDX, it's not a big deal to me. Maybe something to do with processor load? I only rip when not playing any music...

I had an issue with playback skipping while ripping when my UnitiServe SSD was first installed. My NAS drives were also new and doing a first synchronisation. When the NAS finished then the skipping stopped, was just asking too much of the NAS processor? All fine now but usually avoid playing/ripping at same time.
