Albums not displayed by n-stream

Posted by: adca on 26 September 2011

I use Twonkyserver 6.0.34 on my computer with slightly modified view options (i.e. composers are displayed as well; see  http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1836274/Twonky-1.png
and http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1836274/Twonky-2.png ).

However, when I try to choose one letter of the album index in order to display the albums therein (i.e. "v", see http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1836274/Twonky-3.png ), n-stream only displays "Laden" (charge) and later shows again the index (similar to what is shown in Twonky-2.png).

The album tag appears correctly in my browser (see pictures). This is also the case when I the Hifidelio app or the Twonky mobile app (neither of these two is a real alternative because they only control the server).

I thus wonder whether the album tags are not read/understood by n-stream.

Thanks, adca.

The album tags aren't actually *SEEN* by n-Stream ... the UPnP menu structure once you have selected your UPnP server is completely generated by the UPnP software on the fly. The Uniti / UnitiQute / NDX don't do any tag parsing themselves.

Thanks. That is what I "feared". I have verified with my cell phone. The Client correctly displays all the information, including what is in the album tags. The only app which does not list the album titles is n-stream. Quite strange ( - maybe a reaction to the fact that author of the modified view options for Twonkyserver has published those files in a forum concerning Scottish hifi products).

What does the Uniti itself show if you browse the same structure / details from the front panel display and IR remote?

Cheers

Chosing "Album" leads to "Empty". But wth do I see The albums in the other AppStore and on my n900? adca BTW: When I browse through genres and composers, i can choose i.a. amongst The albums. Similarly, the albums are ok, when I browse through the artists options etc.
