Hi Adam

Is that [nSAT] price per speaker, per pair or for four of them or what?

Speakers usually come in pairs. n-Sat is no exception.

It's not unusual to be able to buy sats in single units - after all you may want to use 3 across the front (to give perfect matching).

Does anyone know if you can buy a single nSAT?

Matt.

NO - but you can buy a third of a sub. Most people would give some consideration to the nCENT for perfect matching to the SATs.

So Adam, do you think you could possibly answer the question. Is the price for a pair, one or more than 2 or what????

Also what would go with an AV2 52 500 nbls - presumably you would recommend the bigger centre speaker with a single mono amp (V145?) but would nsubs work at the back on the end of a nap250?

So, if the matching is perfect you'd be happy to use one nSAT and one nCENT in a stereo set up then?

Don't get me wrong, I've had some very good 'matching' centres but you can't beat 3 identical front speakers.

You'd be better off with an Axess or Axent centre speaker. The reason for this is that the main drive units in those centres are the same as the midrange unit in the NBL and so is voiced much more like that unit. Naturally, the NAPV145 is the best match, especially since you've got a 500.

At the back, the n-Sats would do a good job, but the Allae would be better since the drive units are Naim's own once again. The 250 would do a fine job driving either N-Sats or Allaes.

Finally, although your NBLs may seem more than enough for bass, you really want to try the N-Sub in this system. You *will* be surprised at how effective it is.

Also - remember that the LFE (Low Frequency Effects) channel is specifically intended to drive a subwoofer.
