Remote kit

Posted by: FangfossFlyer on 15 October 2000

I have been thinking for some time of putting my kit into another room to the one I listen in.

This could potentialy mean that I have only my SBLs in the listening room and my LP12 + NAIM amps in another (possibly under the stairs behind the listening room).

Whilst I can connect all kit together etc. I will not be able to use my remote control for the NAC82. Is there any way I could still use the remote? Is there some sort of 'little black box' relay or something I could set up in the listening room and 'connect' to the NAC82?

Also, I may have to leave the LP12 in the listening room as it might look odd in the hall!!!

Any comments?

You shouldn't have any problem ... I've got my SBL's in one room and everything else in the next room ... Grahams supplied a black box thingy for about £75 (can't remember what it's called) which lets me control the 52/CDS11 from the SBL room
