Different versions of NACA5?

Posted by: Mike Cole on 21 August 2000

I just ordered a new set of Naim NACA5 cables since I will be moving my electronics into a closet. I just received them and they are different from the cables I previously had (also NACA5). The older cables had a smooth jacket whereas the new cables have a slightly rougher jacket. The distance between conductors on the new set of cables also looks larger but maybe only a mm or so (too lazy to measure). Has there been any changes to NACA5 or do they just use different suppliers but the same specs?

Mike

BTW, I did not put a check mark next to "Is Topic Closed" since this is a question. I thought maybe it meant "Topic Is Closed" if I put a check mark there.

I believe previous postings have suggested the different coverings don't mean the wire is different at all. Perhaps Naim would respond?
