I found many complains about new forum. I think the best way to communicate many-to-many is to use usenet news. Interesting alternative was also previous forum system. Creating newsgroup in Internet hierarchy is not a good idea (spam, lots of offtopic discussion, etc.) but what do you think about creating dedicated newserver with few groups (hi-fi, music, misc)? Forum like this has one advantage: is easy to use for regular users, but we can still prepare help and educate users how to configure and use their browsers to enjoy discussion in professional style -threading, automatic showing new messages, killing unwanted topics, personal archiving, searching etc.
I'm interested what your opinion on the subject is.
