Any Canucks looking for an 82

Posted by: John Schmidt on 06 October 2000

I just noticed on e-Bay that London Audio, a former Naim dealer, is selling off their last 82 preamp. Bid as of 11 a.m. EST Oct 6 was about $US 1500, which strikes me as a bargain. Alas, not an option for me at the moment, but if you've been saving cash for an upgrade, this seems worth a look.

That was the store I used to deal with and that was the 82 I was supposed to buy... but I got married and all spare cash (and then some) went into the wedding fund, so I had to pass -- and I still have to.

If you buy it, wipe the case clean. I've drooled on it many times.

Joe,

I lived in SW Ontario for 10 years and knew London Audio well, although I bought my Naim gear from a small shop that existed at the time in Sarnia. I was surprised to hear that they dropped Naim. Do you have any idea why?

By the way, if you think getting married sucks up all your spare cash, try having kids. Living proof that black holes (for discretionary income, anyway) exist.

John,

Two reasons:

1) They're Linn nuts.

2) They're nuts.

What's even more bizarre is that the local round earth shop picked up the line.
