CD5 arrived at last

Well my CD5 finally arrived on friday, and I have to say that I am impressed. Sounds far better at home than it did in the dem.

I was surprised how close the sound is to my LP12, really not much difference. It doesn't cope with complicated music as well, the bottom end isn't quite as deep and the top end can be a little harsh (Janis Joplin was completly unlistenable), but these differences are quite small. Well done Naim.

I guess a lot of the fact that the LP12 and CD5 sound so close (considering the price difference) boils down to the LP12 pushing my Linn Indexes and NAC72 to the edge. Any comments on this one ?

The CD5 was definatly worth the 7 week wait, but still wish it had arrived just a bit quicker.

I consider you to be a fortunate soul indeed!

I am into my 9th week and have just been informed I will have to wait another one or two!

This been undeniably the most frustrating period in my life - ever.

I am a natural born sceptic at the best of times and I take promises with a hollow pinch.

The 5 arrived on Wednesday - such service!

Been warming up ever since and getting better all the time - got to admit.
