Im going to suggest www.proper-records.co.uk again especially for anyone interested in 30,40,50s jazz. This label produces fantastic value box sets, 4 CDs for £14.99! Some of the titles are Coleman Hawkins, Lionel Hampton, Early Miles Davis, Lester Young, Be Bop Spoken here but check out the website for youself. I can definitely recommend the wonderful Fats Navarro set. Amazingly these are on sale at HMV at the moment for £10.99! For 4 CDs! Better to support your local jazz store though than endorse the prices the chains have though.
They have other genres covered too such as the intriguing Playboys, Cowboys, and Doughboys, the best of Western Swing next, or maybe Deep Ska a collection of classic ska tunes.
Check it out for yourself this is the biggest music bargain around.
