whats the best car polish you have used?

Zymol - pure carnuba wax. Its expensive to start with -£99 for a starter kit inc. basic wax [ http://www.specialistcarsltd.co.uk/cart/zymol/ ]
but it lasts for absolutely ages and gives a superb sheen. More importantly it is a piece of p*ss to apply and doesnt leave white chalk marks

Just dont fall for it hook line and sinker, (theres about 50 products inthe range) or you'll have to sell a few more CD12s

I use autoglym stuff - seems good VFM to me but you do have to leather your car down straight away after using their car was liquid...

2nd vote for Zymol. I'm a recent convert after using Autoglym products for aaaaaages. Zymol gives the paint a far deeper/wetter look. It also smells gorgeous!

Lazy b******* like me use Turtle Triple wax - just wash and go. It may fall short of Zymol in its glassy sheen, but the shine is surprisingly good for no extra effort.

my vote is for AUTOGLYM.
the only polish which actually resists the winter crap....salt, grit and all the worst the Scottish weather can throw at the car.

Confused
Is that the sort of Mer that goes with gold and francincense ?

Talking of Halfrauds
Just got my first Zymol from them. Bottle of shampoo and bottle of wax
Unbelievable results!

I use a high pressure Karcher washer with a Halfords car wash/wax.

Gets all the dirt off and drys to a nice shine.

Are those things a bit too powerfull for cars and cause problems with the paint?

We use a comercial power wash on the hire cars. They are washed after every hire. The only problems have been on some Corrollas and Datsuns the washer washes the paint off the mirrors and bumpers sometimes. Use it on my VW seems OK even if VW say not to use them on the tyres.
I use Autoglym and have used Mer but still get "clouding" after a few weeks, mind you it is a red car a colour prone to this.

They are fine on newish cars but risky on old ones.

Zymol advise care with jet washers too as it can remove the wax

A well (zymol/carnauba) waxed car doesnt need jet washing as the dirt just falls off (allegedly)

Melted cheese for me.

Smears nicely and sticks to the paintwork like wet shit to a blanket.
