Connecting a PC to an AV2

Hi all

How can I connect my computer (via 3.5mm jack) to my AV2 to take advantage of my full system? I have seen a 3.5mm jack to RCA Y Split cable... connect this is into the Analog 4 inputs? Is that the right approach?

Thanks

Yes, the basic answer would be to connect a 3.5mm to 2x RCA cable to Analog 4.  The better option would be a digital output into optical in on the AV2 - this could be achieved direct if your computer already has a optical digital output, or via a USB to SPDIF converter if it doesn't - basic converters only cost a few £10s up or for a high quality converter such as the Gustard U12.

Thanks for the quick reply Eloise!

I did think about going optical but both my optical ports are in use now and that would mean I'd have to 'fiddle' with another solution for one of them... I think the RCA would be fine.

Thanks again!

Another option, if both your optical ports are in use, is to use an optical to co-axial digital convertor. They're inexpensive and work well.
