Connecting a turntable to Uniti 2

Posted by: Reggie on 07 December 2018

I recently acquired a Uniti 2 and now wish to connect an Audio-Technica AT-LP 5 turntable which has an integral preamp, do I just connect this via the digital inputs on the rear of the Uniti 2?

It will be the rca inputs of the uniti from the rca outputs of the turntable..you would traditionally use.

Many thank for a very rapid reply, can I confirm the RCA inputs on the Uniti are one and the same as the digital inputs?

I am not sure of the inner working of the uniti..although I own the superuniti...if I still owned a turntable I'd be using the rca inputs which is /should be a analogue circuit...the digital inputs (optical, coaxial)will send a digital signal to the on board dac for conversion . I'd use an auxiliary or cd line level input from the turntable.

Reggie, the analogue inputs on the Uniti2 are labelled as AN1, AN2 etc..

Make sure you have the output on the AT LP5 set to "Line", that way you will have the signal EQ'd and amplified to line level.
