Uniti star line in malfunction

Posted by: Olek_K on 29 December 2018

hello. Today I wanted to check some tunes for the upcoming New Year’s Day party and to my surprise there’s no sound from my turntable. Other inputs are ok. Also I went upstairs and connected the turntable to my kids little system - sound was ok. So there’s something wrong with my Uniti. I did the power down/up, I checked all the connections.  When I go with volume up to crazy numbers there’s some tiny distorted sound... any ideas?

How are you connecting the phono pre-amp to the Uniti Star?  Via RCA phono to RCA phono or RCA Phono to DIN?

I assume you are using a phono stage?

I’m using rca - rca. And have both ext. phono pre and internal pre in my AT lp5. It used to work ok before...

Is the RCA input enabled? Assuming disabling it, like you can with the old Uniti boxes, is possible of course.

Have you tried a reset? That might be the last resort option, and if that doesn't work, I guess it's on to your dealer or Naim support once they return after New Year.

Yes, it’s enabled. And I did a reset. So no luck
