Essentially, yes, the signal earthing arrangement is slightly compromised compared to a single PSU such as a Hicap or a dual connected Supercap, mainly because only one Hicap has the signal running through.

Thanks Richard. It helps with some decision making. I have searched for pros and cons of dual Hicaps and unlike with most Naim upgrades there seems to be "big difference" , closely followed by "not much difference". I then wondered if it could be down to the earthing.

I'm assuming the earth arrangement when using a Supercap doesn't have the same compromise? ????
