Is 3D on the way out?

3D films that is.  My opinion is people feel disoriented afterwards and the sweet spot is important.

I see that there is a 3D version of Nick Cave's new film. Therefore it is now cool.

Very much on the way out I think as more 2017 specification sets seem to be dumping it. As a spectacles wearer putting glasses over glasses makes me look even more daft than usual

I wonder what glasses-free 3D is all about?

I also read somewhere that it negatively impacts screen resolution which is another reason why the glasses stay firmly in the drawer...

Not before time, in my view - a totally pointless 'development', possibly other than for large personal computer monitors.
