First post, a picture of my set in the evening. Bonuspoints for the one who can name all components. Visible and unvisible ;-)

Congrats Streamz !

Very nice gear and setup. Just the way I like it.

Photo is really nice too. The light brings warm atmosphere.

However, I wouldn't try to name components. I'm a newbee here.

Hmmm, I am going to go with 282/200 and T+A Streamer?, not sure for the speakers

rear ported to the top, side flashes....Wilson Benesch Vectors?

Posted on: 06 October 2013 by Streamz

Correct, well spotted! Driven not by a 200, but a 250.2, to extract all the grunt out of the Vectors.

Where are you hiding the power supply for the preamp Streamz?

Posted on: 06 October 2013 by Streamz

The HCDR, together with the NAPSC is placed in the left part, behind the door. Just visible on the left of the picture. The back is completely open, so no issues with heat.

Looks lovely, but remember that the Hicap has signal going through it, and the NA PSC has a long lead because it is noisy and best kept away from the audio signal.

If you can move the PSC some distance from the Hicap, I'm sure you'll hear the benefit.

Never thought of that, thanks.

What are the six boxes? Qute, V1, 100 and.......

While neat, stacking the boxes is the best way to compromise sound quality, but I imagine you know that.

nice half width system - what's the component breakdown?

Posted on: 13 October 2013 by james n

Snaxo, hicap and a couple of NAP100s ?

Posted on: 13 October 2013 by blorbed

Spot on!

Playback with the Mac Mini using audirvanna and the RP6 with the exact cartridge. And of course the sublime SBL's complete the setup.

Yep, equipment support will get sorted out in the fullness of time, my surroundings at present being temporary.

Great, it would be a shame not to get the best from that super system.

Mmm, reminds me of what i keep thinking of trying for my office system, an entry level active system. I have a Qute/42.5/160 plus a spare 110, all serviced. So either a couple of 110's or 160's, Hicap and Snaxo and my SL2's....... Would all fit neatly on the Ikea rack that sits under the desk, and wouldn't even notice the extra boxes. Or tear my passive Kans apart and make them active and do the same, but that's a bit more radical as i know it's not that easy to do, however i've always had a hankering to hear a pair of active Kans!

A good example of why Naim should produce a half width Fraim !

Did you say how many Nap100s are there?
