Rega rp10 or vpi prime

The glass is the perfect size for the Rega RP10.

For anything much larger you would need to have some replacement glass cut - Naim should be able to supply you with the glass specs (IIRC their source is Pilkington).  However, you need to be careful as the supporting balls and cups remain in the same positions, so the larger you go, the more potentially unstable it can become at the edges.

I am struck by how reliably the Planar3 can hook one on Rega.  After 15 years with one, the RP10 does deliver added value, but not 5-10X, which is no great shame.

I’d recommend a Planar3/Elys to anybody, and an RP10, if you can.

If you have only a few LPs to fool around with, a P3/Fono into a 552 isn’t bad at all.

Farewell, old friend.
