I would like this thread to be a place where people can share Tidal playlists.

What a voice, what a band. Listen to anything by her. Especially to Who Knows Where the Time Goes? Sorry Sandy Denny and Fairport Convention. Eva Cassidy sings it better and with more feeling,, and her band rock. I wish I could have seen her live. Her voice is so pure and takes some beating. Her live recordings sound so fantastic.

Dear all I will be in London next week What would be the best second hand cd and lp stores to Visit? I am at West London but can travel everywhere with tube Right? For buying some small stuff I approached audio sanctuary being my favorite retailer online but they failed to answer my 2 mails and then catch them trough headfi but they don't have much in stock of stuff they list on line, no fiio no audioquest vodka no noble iems, I wanted hugo 2 as well but HUGE order list etc not a chance for...

I was thinking of buying the new Gorillaz album called Humanz, so had a listen via Tidal. Ho hum. Some clever stuff in there but I wasn't wowed. The last track in particular, We Got The Power, sounded thin and splashy, mildly unpleasant and certainly not worth a second listen. Then we watched the Graham Norton Show on BBC One on Friday night, when the live band came on. It was Gorillaz featuring Jehnny Beth and Noel Gallagher playing "We Got The Power". What a difference! The same track...

On the thread Which Gives Most Pleasure, Black Box Upgrades Or Expanding Your Music Collection a few people have indicated that they have a core of music they listen to repeatedly: a couple of people have said 1-20 albums, for me it is probably 20-40. So if this applies to you – and some people mentioning this on the other thread are under the impression it might not be common - what are your 20 real core enduring regularly plays? I am meaning here the enduring ones that you invariably play...

just reading the new naim newsletter and see they have released a new limited edition box set of CD's. Are there any takers on the forum?

Below is the Tom Waits song, "Way Down In The Whole". At various times I have heard older blues songs that had a very similar Bass riff as the Bass riff in "Way Down In The Hole." Unfortunately this was before Shazam, and I was not in a situation where I could find out who the artist was. For example, it seems I have heard such songs at live shows over the PA between bands. Any Blues experts/historians out there who can point me to some older Bluesmen or Blueswomen who often or regularly...

So like many other 50 somethings I'v bought a turntable - Rega RP3 and I'm struggling a bit... Despite it being on 180 g vinyl I'm about to return the 3rd album because its warped . Another has been sent back because there was a scratch from track one and another because it skipped. Thats about 5 out of 15 ! (All amazon) I certainly don't remember so many problems from the past IS it poor pressing now or bad luck or that my system 2 years ago was just less sensitive? frustrating!

Last night I sat down to enjoy a newly purchased vinyl pressing of Nick Cave & Bad Seeds Skeleton Tree. I found that my copy has been pressed with two A sides. In a lifetime of buying records I have never come across this kind of pressing error. So I am wondering if others have bought similar copies and perhaps there are pressings out there with two B sides? Might be interesting and amusing to hear about others experiences of bizarre and/ or rare vinyl miss pressings.

I just got this from Massimo B. https://www.whathifi.com/news/vinyl-sales-earned-more-free-streaming-in-2015 It turns out that cd and vinyls sales is not that bad compared to streaming service https://www.whathifi.com/news/report-finds-22-cds-bought-amazon-to-be-fake For the above, it's not well clear to me if they were actually sold by Amazon or sellers on Amazon Marketplace. For sure a few years ago i bought a Sisters Of Mercy us edition cd on Amazon.com which was clearly a cdr copy...

I hope I am not being politically incorrect. Though I was wondering if forum members would care to share what music moves their soul? Hillsong has been a favourite of mine for ages. Though as I mature (I still enjoy Darlene and the Crew) and being on this Naim Forum. I am beginning to enjoy other styles of music. I recently posted a topic on Bach for a Beginner which has had great responses to get me started. Though I am sure there will be members that say that this CD or LP is a must have...

Its been out about a year now but still available. I'm after a decent vinyl mastering/pressing and this looks promising has anyone heard it and would like to share their findings? Sorry, I hope I haven't duplicated any previous thread but I couldn't find anything specifically on the forum search.

Sad that his albums are just re-released in highres in some shop. Sad that they started a fundraising to pay for the funeral. Nevertheless RIP.

Whilst casually listening to a PF song on the radio at work today, a colleague piped up and said 'oh I met PF in the eighties'. He then regaled us of the time he went to the Toronto Air Show to support a single Tornado aircraft whilst he was in the RAF. Anyway the aircraft developed a problem which necessitated a full power engine run. Mindful of the extreme noise they would cause on a civilian airfield, they were told to move the aircraft to behind a large remote hangar and do it there.

I don't know where Brian Mathews is this morning but his stand in seems to know what he's doing.

I love this track but for some reason the FLAC versions I have played have a booming sound behind the bass guitar section. Ive tried different FLAC rips but its the same. What could be the reason?

The last few years have seen bands that were big in the 80s releasing, what I think, is great new music. New Order (Music Complete), Pet Shop Boys (Super) and now Depeche Mode (Spirit). This can't be just nostalgia, can it?

So sad to hear of the death of influential Prog Rock legend Brian Pern. BBC 4 tonight is showing a special Tribute To Brian Pern followed by Brian Pern at the BBC classic footage from the archives

Which is the album of Sting with better audio quality? I love Sting but can not quite appreciate the quality of its studio recording. Much better the live concert in Blu Ray. My favorite songs are Stolen Car, All would envy, Shape of my heart
