My NDS came back last month from service/repair plus the 555PS has been DR'd. It has been away for 3 months. It sounded fantastic. Detailed, punchy, organic and engaging; a great upgrade. Yesterday I noticed I'd left the transport screws in place. Removing them it sounds even better Just goes to show, 25+yrs of owning Naim, but I can still be an idiot. It would please me enormously if somebody else looked underneath their NDS and discovered they have been listening to theirs with the screws...

After owning this excellent LP12 PSU for well over a month I finally got it fitted properly to a new cross brace. I have to say that this PSU really is an excellent device and fitted to a mid 80’s with FR12 deck sounds better than my previous Lingo Mk 1 connected to a Cirkus upgraded late 90’s with Ittock. I had heard from quite respected enthusiasts that it came very close to the Armageddon and preferred because of the 45rpm ability. The LP12’s coloration can be one of its attractions but...

Hi I got myself cryo treated power cables 10 Gauge ( USA style plug ) for both the Naim SN2 and my source - the Philips CD960 I agree - the sound has improved very noticeably. Hello, I listen music every night with my headphones. Focal Elear / SN2 / 4M cardas cable. I was about to buy a dedicated headphones amplifier to improve my listening sessions but i would like to have your advices before. Will it really improve, since the headphone amp on the SN2 is already good ? If yes what are your suggestions for a £1K budget. Thanks !

I have had my Unitilite for approx 3 years and have found recently that the CD drawer jams when using it for the first time after a few days. It usually opens the 2nd time I press the stop button but always jams the first. Is this a common fault.

Hi friends,last weekend I got a secend hand 282and 250.2 about sn 30xxxxx,with my PMC ob1i. just two days listening, was not surprising me comparing with sn1+hicap2. the 282and 250.2 hicap with pmc ob1i is a little bit lower compare with Sn1. is anything i missed?

For what I understand the nac 52 has multiple multiregulated power supply for all stages of the preamp as main difference. I now that the topic is been allready discussed, but I am mostly interested in the differences between nac 62 and nac 52 as schematics of buffer, line stage, phono are concerned. After upgrading on several positions - Superline/SC Dr, 552 Dr, 300 Dr into Kudos 707 - and demoing a 500 dr in near future, I´m wondering wether singel stack Fraim or non-Fraim brain/brawn would be a better solution. Turntable is on wall shelf, Superline is sitting on seperate LP-storage commode (on Fraim glass/ball-bearings). Does this mean that, if I have no other sources and don't want any switching between them, I could potentially lose the pre-amp and take the output straight into my 250DR? If so, what would I loose? I'm planning to upgrade my music system in the living room (Currently A9 from Bang & Olufsen). The room is quite large, but my wife is adamant that floor standing speakers are not allowed. I'm thinking of pairing the Uniti Atom with some Bowers & Wilkins 705 S2. What do people think of this pairing, will it fill a 35m2 room? Could I also use these for the TV speakers? I have recently acquired a NAT 02 tuner which may or may-not have a fault. So please if anyone has, or has owned a NAT 02 perhaps they would be kind enough comment on this issue. Hello, I’ve been buying some 24/352,8kHz files (FLAC, PCM). Usually I throw them at Roon Rock which makes a sample rate conversion to 176,4kHz. I feed the nDAC through S/PDIF using Audiophilleo 1 SE + PurePower (which sounds marvellously by the way). S/PDIF goes no further than 192kHz. I have just bought a pair of pre-owned Naim S-400 Ovators amd swapped them over with my Naim Allaes as an upgrade, however the Ovators sound flat and one dimensional, I’m using them with my Naim Nova. The Allaes really have a sparkle and a three dimensional quality, I thought the Ovators would have this plus some more. Is this a trait of the Ovators or do they just not suit my room acoustics, I am trying with positioning within the confines of my room but they’re not responding very well?

ive just got hold of a pre owned CD player that has clearly been cared for, however the CD door closes in about 5mm further than the edge of fascia. My previous one was flush. This doesn’t effect the operation or sound but is an irritant. A previous but now closed thread mentioned an easy adjustment to a magnetic catch but provided no further info, can anyone help?

I reacently purchased a NDS as I was blown away in the dem which used the same speakers that I have but instead of my trusty olives it was a 282/supercap and 250 all DR I guess. What I am lacking is the impact on the drum kit.....the deep bass is great but the next level up is missing. The soundsatge and detail are great. Thinking about Uniti Nova and selling everything else. But. What i will i miss soundwise? I really want to keep this system, but seems hard at the moment! Will the Nova be able to drive my Kudos 707?
