We are aware of the issue users are currently experiencing when trying to use Spotify Connect with a number of our streamers. We are working with Spotify to find a resolution and can confirm that the issue isn’t anything to do with any Naim updates. In the meantime we recommend streaming using Spotify via either Google Cast, Airplay or Bluetooth and you can find instructions how to do so below: Airplay/Bluetooth: In the Spotify app, select more devices in the speaker list to send the audio...

Hu Guys, system is LP12/52/135’s/SL2’s The issue I have is that in my seated listening position the bass has far less weight and depth than when stood to the side with the speaker Firing straight at me... (same either side) as the SL2’s are either side of a bay window I’m not really able to bring them any closer than 7 feet apart without sacrificing the solid wall behind.... my ears are 9 feet away ! The speakers are as close to the rear wall as possible without the crossovers touching the...

A nice read, always good to see a local company giving young people an opportunity, but then also seeing them grow. I would say most here would agree with Marks' closing statement, with some major jealousy https://www.naimaudio.com/news...5-years-and-counting I stumbled across it looking for show info.

I’ve just done the above and I’m gobsmacked as to the veil lifted again! Buying leads second hand is such a vfm upgrade and I’m tempted to say the lift in performance from standard in the box Naim leads to the Chord Sarum is like a 252 to a 552 - there’s just such a quiet noise floor and instruments linger and gain further punch. Im inclined to wonder if this makes a 552 500 like a Statement with standard leads???!

Hi, I am interested in an NOVA a and actually liked it quite well. Last week I listend to a NAC 272 + NAP 250 combination vs. the NOVA and the difference was big for me. So I thought to extend my budget again and go for that combination. But another dealer told me that I better should go for a Networkplayer in combination with an amplifier and preamplifier. I checked out the ND5XS / NAC 202 / NAP 200 DR - which is in total quite over my budget with the NOVA but entry level in the category.

Hi! I have 152XS, 155XS and Flatcap XS - looking for speakers for rock musik. It's my office system so I play with low volume. But still want a lively reproduction with good dynamics, push and drive. = Great PRaT ! Suggestions welcomed. ATC, PMC and Neat comes to mind as some alternatives...great to get feedback from the expertise :)

hi everyone, recently purchased a Uniti Nova and have just set it up connected to my trusty Rega speakers. The sound is great but maybe lacks a bit of depth and richness. Do you think this is just because everything needs to run in or should I look for new speakers (Rega ones are about 14 years old). What speakers do you suggest? I like a rich, dynamic sound, nothing with too much top end treble thanks

I got a reserviced and rebuilt Nac72 delivered to me a couple of months ago. I just got around to installing it. It just sounds beautiful!!! System is: Naim Dac (fed via optical in from my PC - no audiophoolery) into Nac 72/HiCapDR/Nap250DR into Harbeth SHL5+s. Olive's still where it's at. ;-) Kudos to Chris West for an excellent restore job on the Nac72. This beats any of the current naim preamps for value. The edginess of the olive goes well with the laid back Harbeth. Perfect balance. On...

I had an interesting experience. I noticed a significant difference in soundlevel between my left and right loudspeaker. I thougth this was caused by the fact that one of my loudspeakers is closer to a sidewall and therefore reflections made the loudspeaker sounding ... well ... louder. I played with the balanceknob on my Nac 72 and I had to turn about 30 degrees to the left to bring the balance in the setup. Can't be true, I thougth and started to check the setup. To my shame, I found that...

Hi everyone not sure if anyone can help me with this issue i'm having with connecting my Naim system to a REL G2. I'm currently a proud owner of the following active Naim System: NAC252 Supercap DR 2 X NAP 200 CDS3 XPS2 NDAC SNAXO 242 HiCap Allae I have been using REL subwoofers as a complement to my system above for years and I have always connected the REL's using the Speakon High Level cables to the back of my Allae Speakers ( red to the Right + speaker terminal, black to the Right -...

Hi forum, I am thinking of buying a preloved Nap 300/300PS from 2010 for 1.300 €. I have 3 questions: 1. is this price ok? 2. how much do I have to spend for recapping an DRing? 3. ist the "variable speed, virtually noiseless cooling fan" realy noiseless? Thanks! Wolfgang

For anyone who isn't an expert I came across this video yesterday and thought it worth sharing. I rather wish I'd found it 12 mths ago (Moderators - I hope it's ok to link to the video? Apologies and remove if not. It's purely instructional.) I found it incredibly helpful & simple to grasp - once I'd got over the occasional, to-camera 'death stare' of the marketing guy. The revelation was using their recommended Norah Jones track to get my centre image. Mine turned out to be some way off...

Well I've taken the plunge and ordered my upgrades that will be my keeper system … I hope :D First step is a Supercap DR replacing the HiCap (non DR) for my NAC 202. This has been on home demo for the last 11 days and I've certainly heard the difference; tighter bass and clearer soundstage with a tad more engagement in the music. I confirmed this tonight by moving back to the Hicap. It's not a wow, but is certainly an improvement on what was already a fine sound. Probably not VFM for a 202...

I use ‘phones a lot, and I think there is much to be gained from eliminating the listening space from the music. Currently, I use a Headline powered by a SupercapDR, which is the best Naim has to offer. I am no electronic expert, but a glance at the Headline board suggests that it could be improved if money was no object. Also, I’m sure that mechanical isolation could be improved, and the captive cable, not to mention the superior power supplies available from the Supercap, rather than a...

Hi, I think about combining a NOVA or NDX2 with 2 MUSOs for multiroom usage but would love to combine it with a multiroom device/speaker which is suitable in areas with high humidity. Is it possible to implement no naim devices in the naim multiroom setup?

Or: why did I wait so long to do a simple home demo that has changed everything? A hint: this is not about the ND555. M.

I have currently some chord sarum T and chord music cables on trial. Its truly amazing who much more music is in the signal that becomes apparent with both of these chord cables. The first interconnect now replaced with a chord cable is between the SCDR for SL and the Preamp ie a 4/5 pin snaic, while the other one is a 4/4 pin snaic between the psu of the preamp and the SCDR for the snaxo.

Is there a shoe box sized naim preamp better than the V1? I'm trying to build a second streaming system (uq as streamer+nap100), using a rack specially made for shoe boxes and would like to end up with something better than a SU. Thank you.

My system is LP12, NDX, NAC282, HCDR, NAP250DR. I feel like lacking room filling deep bass from my floor stand Sopra 2. I'm listening mostly to Jazz and Orchestra, deep bass would be from Double-bass and pipe organ instruments I'm looking at, not heavy metal kinda bass I'm looking for. I wonder adding a subwoofer like naim N-sub or Focal SW1000 would make any sense. Specifications NAIM N-SUB Frequency Response at 3dB 35Hz - 20kHz Dimensions (HxWxD) in mm 880x230x310 Finish Black, Cherry...

My local hi fi shop was happy to deliver to me last Friday their demo pair of these Devores. I own their smaller brother, the Nines. I love what the Nines bring to sound stage and smooth treble and midrange, but the bass in the lowest octave was wanting for me, and so I've been using a JL Audio subwoofer (which actually integrates into the soundstage very well). These Gibbon X's sure solve the lack of bass! I don't 'go by' ratings, but these are rated down to 23 Hz. And a sensitivity of 91.5...
