My granddaughter was running around with my MM mouse and keyboard. Now MacMini is talking to me, I don't know what did or how to revert it to normal re-boot was ineffective.

The standardised tuning of musical instruments for A is 440 Hz.. yet some chatter has stated that if A was tuned to 432 Hz we would all divine more goodness from music emanating from this tuning.. what with a certain way we resonate differently with what is heard. Meaning music should tune us into the cosmic vibrations more naturally with some saying 432 Hz as A's more natural tuning. https://acousticengineering.wo...oesnt-improve-music/ http://www.collective-evolutio...your-music-to-432hz/...

Just got round to watching this (it was on on Christmas Eve). Funniest thing I've seen for a long time. Reminds me of Frank Spencer's antics.

Yesterday, I changed the email password for BTinternet on my iMac. No problems encountered - when to Yahoo! Mail site, changed it there and Mail continues to work with the new pw. SWMBO's Macbook was a completely different story. Did it exactly the same way via the Yahoo! Mail site, but then Mac Mail refused to accept the new password! After an hour of frustration this morning I have eventually got it up and running again, but what a faff. Even went on the BT help chatline. I had to sign her...

Neat idea on BBC website. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programme...-live-in-360-degrees You have to scoot forward to about 9:30 for fireworks to begin, then you can control your viewpoint. Interesting that much of the crowd chooses to view the fireworks on their phones!

There won't be game for anyone, evermore. These beat everything else forever. Agreed? I can't move my eyes away, please someone close the page for me.

Dismantled and boxed the active living room system today. Tried to do most of it before SWMBO 'surfaced' (I'm usually up a couple of hours before her). She appears and her (not at all unexpected) first comment was 'did you have to do this today', followed by 'look at the mess your making' and 'did you have to do it all at once' Tried the logical approach - my comments as follows : When am I supposed to do it? I waited until you took down the Christmas decorations. Do I have to wait until you...

Just looking on line for manuals for old Naim amps. Alas, Naim themselves no longer seem to have them on their website, but to my surprise I found them on the Flashback site. Very useful, because I am retiring the rarely used (long story) active Olive System in the living room, and passing on the 52/52PS to my younger son-in-law. He only has a Linn Axis/Basik/Rega MM cartride turntable and NDX as sources at the moment, and I suggested to him that he could keep his 32.5/SNAPS and use it just...

We had the pleasure of seeing George Michael on his Symphonica tour. He was wonderful. One of the few that made the jump from teen heart throb to true stardom. Sadly missed - far too young.

Why is it there and is it important to anyone? I know of one female member here that has selected the male designation. Perhaps because this forum and hi-fi in general are male dominated. Is a response from a woman taken with less credibility than one from a man? Overall, women have better high frequency hearing and suffer less age-related hearing loss than men. Maybe the gender designation should be eliminated from the profile or a third "undisclosed" choice be included.

Guitarist Rick Parfitt of Status Quo passed away today in Spain. I was not the greatest fan of Quo but saw them a couple of times back in the 70's in my late teens, I still have a couple of their vinyl albums in a box under the stairs, I must get a deck again one of these days! I do love the acoustic album of their hits they made couple of years ago, really fun to listen to. R I P Rick. Ken

I'd very much like to thank all those Forum members who have sent me messages or wished me well following my accident at the end of August. It's been a challenging few months and the fact that people have spared the time to write to me, or post on the Forum has cheered me up no end. From a position where I was in a coma on life support and not expected to make it, I can now do most things again. I still find riding the bike a bit scary but I'm doing it, and I can walk continuously for about...

As some one else said, God's best PR on earth. A man I only met on the radio but would have loved to have invited for dinner. May he travel with laughter and joy.

Last year I moved in to a dusty environment. Blower cannot do the trick for mid bass woofers. Thinking of a damp cotton cloth but I do not want to mess with treated - paper things. Speakers always remain their grilles off. Any suggestion?

This is a terrible year! what with David Bowie, Leonard Cohen etc., tragic news has just reached me concerning the almost certain demise of the Blutak Wonder. The fracture of a vital component has rendered it silent and lack of parts make its repair problematic. With commiserations and deepest sympathy to Jon Honeyball of this parish, who has been its noble carer for many years. For those who have had the pleasure of hearing it, I will leave you to mourn and grieve in your own ways.

So from the look of it, the parliament has to vote and now that there has been so many regrets (loss of jobs, weakening pounds..), brexit looks set to be off ?
